Organic and Hormone/Antibiotic-Free Meats
In order to provide the healthiest food to our residents, The Collegian
serves predominantly an organic salad bar and hormone/antibiotic-free
meats. Why is this important? Because organic farmers follow
environmentally responsible business practices. Organic cows are free
of antibiotics used as routine prevention. Ounce for ounce, organic
fruits and vegetables are twice as rich in certain nutrients compared
to non-organic produce, according to a recent study reported in the
Journal of Applied Nutrition. The Collegian only wants the best for its
residents!
