Applicants should submit a brief statement (1 paragraph to 1 page)
describing why they believe they would be a good fit to live at The
Collegian. Included in the statement can be descriptions of applicant’s
commitment to academic success, experiences which have taught applicant
to be a good neighbor, and particulars about applicant’s lifestyle
which are consistent with
The Collegian's Code of Conduct.

After receiving applicant’s completed application, The Collegian will
contact applicant’s references and co-signer. We suggest that you contact
the people you plan to use as references before submitting your application.
Applicants should ask if these people will agree to serve as references and
notify them that they may be getting a call from The Collegian.

In order to reserve applicant’s requested room and be eligible to receive
special rates, a security deposit and
$30.00 application fee are due when the application is made. If a security
deposit is NOT made at time of application, it will be due within 7 days of
application approval. Upon move-in, this security deposit will be used to
remedy defaults, if any, in the performance of the Lease. A non-refundable
cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit at move-out and if a
room transfer is made.

- International Students
As part of the application process, International Students who wish to live
at The Collegian must provide copies of ALL of the following:
1. Form I-20 (certificate of eligibility for F-1 visa status)
2. Departure portion of the Form I-94 (stapled to I-20)
3. F-1 visa
Visas which are not acceptable include:
- B-1 or B-2 visas (tourist visas)
- visa waver programs (90 day visits)
- work visas
Lease
Applicants should familiarize themselves with the
Lease, especially the section outlining
The Collegian's Code of Conduct, before
submitting an application.

We are located on the southwest Corner of 18th and Alder in Eugene, close to campus and the University shopping district. The main University library, the Knight Library, is just a few blocks away. For those coming to town without cars, we are also right on the public bus line.
