The Winter Term is coming to a close! Students are breathing a sigh of relief as they finish their finals and excitedly head to their Spring Break destinations. The University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon will look like a ghost town for the next week….or will it?
The story of Spring Break in Eugene, Oregon has become one of preparation for new and returning students that are smart. Housing, especially “dorm style” housing for University of Oregon students, is in high demand. Any economics student could probably point out that the reason for this demand is that the supply is short. Whatever the reason may be, students and parents who choose to use Spring Break as a time to reserve housing for the 2011-12 Academic Year will have much less stress to deal with in the long run.
At The Collegian, we always look forward to Spring Break, because we’re greeted with a variety of new faces. Many of these faces will become regulars when Fall Term begins. Some of them may even still be regulars 4 years from now. All in all, Spring Break is an exciting time at The Collegian. Now if we can just get a little sunshine to go along with it, that would be nice.
Happy Spring Break!
